Cloth: How would you describe your personal style and what makes it unique?
Xamy: I don’t really have a personal style. As I’m young and figuring out what fits me well, I’m experimenting a lot with styles. If you would ask my friends about my style, they would compare my style with a chameleon, because you never know what I’m wearing today, tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow. Also the weather, mood and season influence my style. At the moment I’m into black and white outfits or navy blue.
Cloth: You have a very interesting back story growing up in Columbia and now residing in Switzerland, can you tell us a little more about that and how it influences your style?
Xamy: Living in Colombia wasn’t an easy thing. First of all I had to take care of myself at an early age as it’s quite dangerous and second the education there is great but to get a great job in the fashion Industry is almost impossible. I had the luck to move to Switzerland, which I’m really thankful, and start from zero. I was always interested in fashion so I began to write this blog almost one year ago and with time it got popular. Now I get invitations to Fashion Week over the world. But as I’m still a student, my time for the blog is limited at the moment. Living in these two different countries has influenced my style a lot. I have this kind of Latin fashion combined with European minimalism in my looks.
Cloth: Who are your favorite mens designers right now and why?
Xamy: I just know this one designer that always makes me crazy and if I could buy all of his pieces, I would buy it twice. The brand is called Maharishi. Also the brand Tommy Hilfiger has been for years one of my favorite brands, because of its great way of representing the preppy style.
Cloth: In terms of travel, what are three cities would you love to travel to and why?
Xamy: It happened already. I love Miami, Berlin, and Stockholm as if it was my home. I have friends in these cities and also the way of living is great and fashion is a big hype in these cities. I could imagine living in one of the three cities. I would also love to visit Los Angeles and Sydney for sure, since I’ve never been there.
Cloth: Do you have any upcoming project you would like to share
Xamy: I don’t have any specific upcoming projects. I’ll leave in some days to Miami and will also work with brands there. For the future I will try to attend more to Fashion Weeks but school first, all the way!
